Reading and robotics collided in this exciting kindergarten STEAM lesson! We read Chester Van Chime Who Forgot How to Rhyme, with students jumping in to complete the rhymes while Novel Effect added engaging sound effects. Then, they coded Kaibot to find rhyming pairs, using post-it notes with beginning sounds as guides and counting and subtraction to navigate. Literacy, math, and coding all in one lesson!
First graders have had a blast this week celebrating Dr. Seuss and Read Across America! They wrapped up the week by creating Oobleck from Dr. Seuss's book Bartholomew and the Oobleck. Is it solid? Is it liquid? Ask the kids!
7th grade worm dissection day!
4th graders are diving into Code.org, going from gamers to game creators. They’re designing their own video games while sharpening critical thinking, persistence, and problem-solving skills. The creativity and innovation happening here are next level.
5th graders are bringing math to life through 1-point perspective, turning simple lines into incredible cityscapes. This hands-on project strengthens problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and creativity—all while making math more meaningful and fun.
